Brother of Papa John’s Founder to Lead Biscuit Belly’s Franchise Efforts
Chuck Schnatter, Papa John’s Founder John Schnatter’s younger brother, will lead Louisville-based fast-casual chain Biscuit Belly’s franchising efforts alongside Chad Coulter, who founded Biscuit Belly. Chuck Schnatter helped grow Papa John’s to more than 4,000 units before retiring in 2010 from the company.
The breakfast and brunch concept has three restaurants in Louisville and has already identified new location opportunities in Lexington, Ky. Biscuit Belly said it looks to open 20 to 25 new units in 2021.
“Ever since we opened the first Biscuit Belly in 2019, we’ve been blown away by the success and knew we had something special,” Coulter said. “We’ve built a really great team to support our franchising launch including industry legend Chuck Schnatter, who will provide top-notch franchisee support. Biscuit Belly prides itself on creating an inclusive environment where southern hospitality reigns supreme and we look forward to spreading that same hospitality across the country.”
Biscuit Belly is looking for experienced multi-unit operators who possess similar values in line with the brand’s culture and are community-minded to become a part of the biscuit concept and develop franchise territories in new markets throughout the Midwest and South.
