Acqualina Assures Guests of Safety With VERIFIED Status
During these days of the coronavirus pandemic, making sure your hotel is safe for guests is more important than ever. One hotel that has earned recognition for providing such an environment is Acqualina Resort & Residences in Miami’s Sunny Isles Beach. This week, the hotel announced that it is one of the first hotels in the world to be Sharecare Health Security VERIFIED with Forbes Travel Guide.
According to the hotel, the verification helps ensure guests and travel planners can confidently book a stay at Acqualina, thanks to its compliance with best practices that minimize the risk and impact of COVID-19 and future public health events. The Global Biorisk Advisory Council also verified the hotel as a GBAC Star accredited facility in December 2020.
“We want our guests, who are family to us, to always feel safe, secure and confident when staying at Acqualina,” CEO and Partner Deborah Yager Fleming said. “Attaining the highest seals of approval in outbreak prevention reinforces our commitment to providing great living and lifestyle experiences with the most rigorous health and safety standards in place.”
Sharecare verification includes more than 360 standards across health and hygiene protocols, cleaning products and procedures, ventilation, physical distancing, the guest experience, and health safety communication with guests and employees. The hotels also need to continuously verify their health protocols to ensure compliance with up-to-date standards.
“The pandemic has made it clear that hotels and resorts must, first and foremost, assure guests of their safety,” Forbes Travel Guide CEO Filip Boyen said. “By becoming VERIFIED, Acqualina Resort & Residences — a Forbes Five Star property — has demonstrated its commitment to creating a culture of accountability and following global best practices to heighten health security, certified by a third party.”
Acqualina’s safety measures include innovation sanitation technology in its interior and exterior areas, including electrostatic disinfectant tools that utilize EPA-approved chemicals and electrostatic molecules to sanitize all spaces. The resort also maintains a high level of cleaning and hygienic protocols as well as frequent hand washing and the use of gloves and face masks.
