Front Desk Supply Warns Hotels to Prepare for a Summer Travel Boom
This week, Front Desk Supply announced that it is anticipating possible inventory shortages at boutique hotels and motels as we go into summer. The hotel supply company cited numbers from the U.S. Travel Association that show that 87% of American travelers have travel plans over the next six months, which is the highest level since March 2020.
According to Front Desk Supply Director of Commercial Operations Mark Zisek, an increase in summer travel is not just a hope anymore, but a reality. “As airline bookings soar and guests return to hotels, it’s becoming increasingly evident that hotels must prepare logistically and have all the inventory they need on hand as a year without travel comes to a head,” he said.
He noted that his company was proud to provide his customers with the supplies they need to welcome back guests. “While we hope hotels plan for this uptick by purchasing custom items in time, we also stock generic versions of many products that are ready to ship at a moment’s notice,” Zisek added.
