Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Rewards Frontline Workers With a Free Stay
The efforts of essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic should never be overlooked. And that is why Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, which has more than 9,000 hotels in approximately 90 countries, is rewarding over 45,000 of them with 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points, giving them the credits for a free one-night stay.
The initiative, which is part of Wyndham’s #EverydayHeroes campaign, awarded the points just in time for National First Responders Day. Its recipients include healthcare workers, police officers, teachers, truck drivers, construction workers and others who opted into the campaign at www.wyndhamrewards.com/heroes before 11:59 p.m. eastern time on Oct. 27.
“Throughout this pandemic, it’s our essential frontline workers who have helped keep us all safe and our nation running,” Wyndham President and CEO Geoff Ballotti said. “On this National First Responders Day, we want to honor their hard work and continued sacrifice. Whether it’s with a quick overnight getaway or a weeklong escape, our hope is that these points, combined with the added perks of Wyndham Rewards Gold membership, help to make their next trip not only more attainable, but more enjoyable too. They’ve earned it.”
The company started the #EverydayHeroes campaign in April to recognize and thank those on the front lines of the pandemic, including those who travel as a function of their job. Thanks to the campaign, eligible workers can receive a complementary instant upgrade to Wyndham Rewards Gold membership, which brings perks such as late checkout, a preferred room and accelerated earning.
