WAGO’s I/O System Field Offers Dependable, Cabinet-Free Automation
WAGO recently introduced its new I/O System Field that offers maximum performance and high-level connectivity for modern decentralized production facilities. The system is IP67 rated and is available in cast zinc housings with encapsulated electronics for harsh environments and non-encapsulated plastic housings with low mass for mobile applications.
Both types of modules are equipped with innovative load management. Current and voltage levels can be recorded and evaluated, and overload limits and alarms can be set for each channel to provide system reliability.
The cast zinc housing devices have input and output power ports for use with daisy chained modules and are Profinet based. Future releases will support EtherNet/IP and EtherCat protocols. The non-encapsulated lightweight modules are IO-Link hubs for versatile connection to an IO-Link Master.
