Boulder Canyon Introducing Thin & Crispy Chips
Boulder Canyon is introducing a line of Thin & Crispy potato chips. The thin-cut chips are cooked in avocado oil and feature a unique buttery flavor with an extra-crispy bite, according to Utz Brands, which manufactures the line. The chips are available in sea salt or rich cheddar sour cream flavors.
“Boulder Canyon looks to the great outdoors for inspiration,” said Mickey Burnett, a vice at Hanover, Pa.-based Utz Brands. “We seek paths which will take us to new taste adventures and to snacks you can feel good about.”
Founded in 1994 in the shadow of the Rocky Mountains, Boulder Canyon potato chips are made from an original family recipe with premium, American grown potatoes. In addition to the new Thin & Crispy line, Boulder Canyon offers more than 30 different potato chip varieties, cooked in better-for-you specialty oils including avocado oil, olive oil and sunflower oil/safflower oil. These unique oils impart hints of different flavor nuances while providing a hearty, crunchy and satisfying snacking experience, according to the company.
